To share the hope and love of God through medical missions.
Providing life-saving medical care in Togo, Africa
Hopital Baptiste Biblique (HBB), located in southern Togo, was founded in 1985. A Gospel centered missions-based hospital caring for over 18,000 outpatients and 2,500 inpatients annually. This includes 2,000+ surgeries and 600+ infant deliveries per year.
The expansion of mobile health clinics push the boundries from the hospital to the community, providing compassionate medical outreach and community health education monthly to surrounding villages.
HBB provides ongoing medical training to Togolese physicians, nurses and community outreach partners. The hospital is home to a 3 year Nursing Education Program that began in 1997. In addition, HBB is an accredited PAACS training site (Pan African Academy of Christian Surgeons)
Ongoing community health and development, disease prevention, and poverty alleviation with evangelism and discipleship.
"I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." Matthew 25:40
Matt is a pediatrician & orthopaedic specialist and Michelle an occupational therapist. They have 3 children: Eli, Lucas and Mya.
After nearly 20 years of working and raising their family in North Carolina, the Ravish family answered a call to serve at a hospital in Togo, West Africa.
Matt and Michelle have always seen their careers in medicine and therapy as an avenue to help meet the physical needs of others, in order to share God's love. After spending a month in Togo as a family, in 2023, they returned to the US, knowing God was calling them to long term missions in West Africa.
In August 2025, the Ravish family begins full time service with World Medical Missions. They will first complete a year of language school in France, prior to moving to Togo.

Once upon a time, we found each other, and now we're counting down the days until we say I do. We would be thrilled to have you join us in this next chapter.

The simple answer is, God's leading! Through providential conversations and new friendships we were introduced to the needs in Togo and specifically at HBB. After visiting as a family in 2023, we knew God was directing our family to return and serve long term. Togo is home to at least 46 unique people groups, including many that are still unreached with the gospel. Our desire is to use the talents and skills of medicine that we have been given, to help bring hope and healing to this region.
The official language of Togo is French, although approximately 40 indigenous languages are spoken there. Before moving to Togo, we will complete one year of full time immersive language school in France. This will begin September 2025.
Togo is a small tropical country spanning 22,000 square miles, in west Africa. It is bordered by Ghana to the west, Benin to the east and Burkina Faso to the north. It has a population of roughly 8 million people.
